The objective of Ludo is to move all your tokens (also called pawns or pieces) from the starting area to your home triangle.

To enter the board, a player must roll a 6. Upon rolling a 6, the player moves a token from the starting area onto the starting square and rolls again.

Tokens move around the board in a clockwise direction. Each side of the board has a track with 15 spaces, including the starting area and home triangle.

If a player's token lands on a square already occupied by an opponent's token, the opponent's token is sent back to the starting area. This is called capturing or knocking out.
